How about those ADDYs?
Thanks from all of us to 2007 ADDY Chair Scott Van Osdol who organized a unique and fabulous show. Scott, you are a gift.

Want to win some ADDYs next year? In this issue, get perspective and insights from this year's judges about how to do just that.

If you remember graduating and starting your first job in advertising, you'll appreciate reading what up-and-coming young professionals, Nancy Jeng of UT and Antonio Banos of Texas State, report as winners of the American Advertising Federation's "Most Promising Minority Students" program, which took them to New York for immersion sessions at the NY Times, Verizon, and ESPN, and seminars by Leo Burnett, Interpublic and Y&R Brands.

Also starting a new venture is former long-time GSD&M VP, Eric Webber, who recently left the agency to start his own PR firm. Learn what Eric has learned in the transition from big to small.

Get the details on our wonderful spring events: the Urban Media Symposium, "The Crossover: Urban Goes Mainstream," April 6-7; the Hill Country Ride for AIDS, April 28; and the Big Wig Awards (date is TBD in June) which will have a new look and feel this year.

Finally, we hope you enjoy the new design and editorial enhancements of your Austin AdFed e-newsletter. Let us know what you think at news@austinadfed.com – we appreciate your help in making it a must-read in our community.

Sincerely,
Pat Niekamp, President
Austin Advertising Federation
